The Quiet Days of Dorothy is a cozy, narrative-driven game that blends the meditative care of a virtual pet with the emotional depth of a visual novel. Set during the early days of the 2020 pandemic, players step into the quiet world of Dorothy, a woman living alone who begins nurturing a sourdough starter as a way to bring routine and meaning into her days. Through her in-game phone, she connects with others: strangers, old friends, neighbors, each with their own stories, requests, and shared moments of vulnerability.

As players care for their sourdough starters, bake bread, and fulfill small requests, they begin to rebuild a sense of connection in a world paused by crisis. The game invites reflection, comfort, and hope, reminding us how even the simplest acts of kindness can feel like a way to hold on.
